Honda Passport -- Cargo Area

SIDE-HINGED TAILGATE WITH LIFT-UP HATCH GLASS
The Passport has a convenient, side-hinged tailgate with separate lift-up hatch glass. Locked or unlocked by the vehicle's power door-locking system, the tailgate opens via a pushbutton and swings out. allowing easy access to the rear cargo area A special locking lever keeps the door open to facilitate loading. It can be easily released when the door is ready to be closed. The rear bumper doubles as a step for easy access to the roof rack.

FULL-SIZE SPARE TIRE
A full-size spare tire is standard on all Passports. On EX (and 4WD LX with the 16-inch wheel package option). The tire is securely mounted to the tailgate and doesfft impede rearward visibility. On LX models, the full-size spare is mounted under the body.

FRONT AND REAR 12-VOLT ACCESSORY OUTLETS
Two 12-volt accessory outlets are standard. One is located low on the center instrument panel, and the other in the rear cargo area. Each outlet provides convenient power for such items as 12-volt beach-toy and air-mattress inflators or 12-volt refrigerated coolers.

VERSATILE CARGO AND STORAGE AREAS
The Passport's fully carpeted cargo area comes with tie-down hooks that allow you to secure large items. An additional 12-volt accessory power outlet has been added on the driver's side, while a covered storage box, integrated in the passenger's side, is also standard. A retractable/removable cargo area cover helps keep perishables out of the sun and valuables out of sight. An overhead cargo area lamp, smartly designed into the roof panel, provides illumination.

60/40 SPLIT FOLD-DOWN REAR SEATBACK
Passport offers the flexibility to arrange the rear-seating area to suit owners' cargo- or passenger-carrying needs. All models feature 60/40 split fold-down rear seatbacks. NOTE: Rear-seat head restraints must be removed in order to fold the rear seatback forward.

REAR WINDOW WIPER/WASHER/DEFROSTER
For added rear visibility, all Passports come standard with a rear wiper/washer with intermittent control for the rear window. The control is located on the wiper-control stalk. A rear-window defroster is also included.
