Total American Honda vehicle sales of 129,872 set a new July record to help maintain a record year-to-date sales pace of 815,896 cars and light trucks, up 1.2 percent from 2003, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today. July highlights include:

The Honda Division posted its third consecutive record month with July sales of 112,815 cars and light trucks while daily selling rate totals decreased slightly by 3.6 percent with one more selling day in 2004. With a limited supply of vehicles and record demand for hybrid vehicles, the Civic Hybrid posted sales of 1,963 units bringing year-to-date sales to 15,989 units, up 21.3 percent year-to-date.

Acura Division July sales increased by 4.1 percent to 17,057 units, the third best month in the division's 18-year history.
