Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) will be a flexible, efficient and environmentally responsible automobile manufacturing facility, producing1 fuel-efficient, 4-cylinder Honda Civic sedans. The establishment of this facility again demonstrates Honda's longstanding commitment to build products close to its customers. When HMIN reaches full production capacity, following the start of operations in the fall of 2008, it will employ 2,000 associates (increasing employment to more than 37,000 associates in North America) with a capacity of 200,000 vehicles annually. Development of the facility represents a $550 million capital expenditure by Honda, bringing the company's total North American capital investment to more than $9 billion.
