10/3/2012 11:56:00 AM

Honda Power Equipment, a division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and marketer of a complete range of outdoor power equipment, has launched the third annual ESPN Plus Honda Generator Giveaway. Charlotte, N.C.-based ESPN Regional Television (ERT) is a television sports marketing, syndication, event management and production company. With efforts divided among television production, college sports syndication, event ownership and corporate sponsorships/entitlement, ERT utilizes the term 'ESPN Plus' to brand regional programming the company produces.

By submitting tailgating pictures or videos via Facebook, Twitter or email, college football fans have the chance to win a Honda EU2000i Super Quiet Series generator. Twelve winners will be chosen during the 2012-2013 football season; the contest ends November 24, 2012. Entries will be judged on originality, creativity and school spirit. Complete contest rules, entry details, and Terms and Conditions are available at www.espnplus.com/home/honda.

"Having these Honda generators as part of the ESPN Plus promotion is an innovative way for Honda Power Equipment to give college football fans a way to show off their tailgating creativity while competing with other imaginative college football tailgaters," said Ed Harris, national sales manager, Honda Power Equipment. "Loyal college football enthusiasts enjoy finding news outlets for showing their team spirit, and Honda EU2000i generators can be part of the fun."

A Closer Look at the Honda EU2000i Super Quiet Series Generator

The Honda EU2000i Super Quiet Series generator is an inverter-equipped, portable, lightweight model that features a totally enclosed body resulting in noticeably quieter performance. It provides up to 9.6 hours of running time on just 1.1 gallon of gasoline, and with a dry weight of just 46 pounds, it can be easily carried and conveniently stored in small compartments. What's more, it can power a computer, TV, coffee pot, and small refrigerator. As increasing numbers of consumers are turning to fuel-efficient, portable generators for outdoor work and play, Honda generators can be found at sporting events of all kinds, job sites, campsites, picnics, tailgating events and marina parties – powering fans, TVs, radios, blenders, coffee pots, small power tools and notebook computers.

Honda Super Quiet EU models were the original generators to offer parallel capability: working in tandem, two lightweight Honda EU2000i models can deliver their full, combined power, easily able to start and run an RV air conditioner along with other appliances.
