If you complete a credit application, upload documents as part of a dealer transaction, or make a payment to a dealer through our Sites, we collect additional personal information and documents on behalf of the applicable dealer and its lending partners. We process this information as the dealer’s service provider.
We automatically collect information related to the actions you take on the Sites. We refer to this type of information as “usage data.” Usage data may include information about your device, browser, operating system, and your interactions with our Sites like your IP address, the pages you view, the page and search terms used to reach our Site, the time, date, and duration of your visit, and your clicks. American Honda and its dealers are independently owned and operated legal entities with separate privacy policies and obligations. We may collect personal information from dealerships. Certain Sites also recognize and process Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Privacy laws require us to verify your identity before fulfilling certain types of privacy requests. For these requests, we request personal information to match against the information we have on file and may take additional steps to verify your identity. If you are an authorized agent submitting a request on behalf of another person, you must provide a copy of a lawful power of attorney or written authorization from the consumer. If you make a request as an authorized agent, you may receive additional instructions.
